About Us

The Barefoot Dragonfly

Who we are

The Barefoot Dragonfly was founded in May 2003 by Amy Kreydin, NBCRT. Amy graduated from the Palmer Institute as a Certified Reflexologist in 2004 and is nationally board certified by the American Reflexology Certification Board.

We're a family-friendly practice and love working with children, women's health, chronic and acute pain conditions as well as general wellness.

We believe...

Reflexology is a deeply relaxing modality that can be a very helpful part of living a wonderful, balanced life.
You don't have to be sick to enjoy Reflexology - wellness is a way of life.
We all heal differently - each session is tailored to your goals and comfort level.
Reflexology is just as much an art form as it is a science, therefore every session is a unique expression of the practitioner's talents.

Community

We are continually striving to be a community-centered, sustainable practice. Starting with the office we seek out eco-friendly products and strive for green office practices. When possible we support local programs which align with our goals for a sustainable and healthy community.

Some of our efforts include:

Supporting the local farmers market
Serving as a community liaison for a local farm share
Donating time at the Walk for Hunger
Hosting food drives to benefit the Stoneham Food Pantry
Donating time to work with Seniors, families in Early Intervention, pregnant teens

About Amy

Nope, Amy didn't grow up around these parts but Stoneham has been "home" since 2003. Amy grew up in the Sangre de Cristo mountains in Northern New Mexico - her family raised goats, her mom has a huge organic garden, her dad is a 'green' builder and furniture maker.

Amy was apprenticing to become an herbalist when she stumbled onto Eunice Ingham's book "Stories the Feet Can Tell." Fascinated by the case studies of the physical therapist Amy booked an appointment for a Reflexology session and was instantly hooked!

Amy is an active public speaker, presenter and teacher on Reflexology and wellness topics. A current list of classes and events taught by Amy can be seen on the events page. Past engagements and appointments can be seen on her curriculum vitae page.
